
Mrs. Hackstock has been married for 34 years and has 5 children ranging in age from 14
through 33. Her undergrad degree is from Oakland University with a major in
mathematics and minor in chemistry, and she is “highly qualified” to teach both
mathematics and chemistry, having taken and passed the state tests for both subjects.
Her teaching certification is from Saginaw Valley State University, where she earned 18
graduate credit hours in education. She is currently working on her master’s degree in
mathematics education from Wayne State University.
She has taught all levels of high school mathematics, from Basic Algebra 1 through AP Calculus BC, and she currently teaches Pre-Algebra at St. Clair Community College. She has taken a 30 hour seminar in teaching AP Calculus, and she wrote the AP Calculus syllabus that was accepted by the College Board and used in the school where she was teaching. She has belonged to the
