Mrs. Jennifer-Lynn G. Linville is currently the 9th grade Biology teacher for Austin Catholic Academy, a brand new Catholic high school in Macomb, Michigan.  She has more than six years experience in science education, and brings a diverse background to her classroom.  Ms. Linville is responsible for writing the 9th grade Biology curriculum as well as preparing a brand new Biology classroom for the 2011-2012 school year.

 Ms. Linville recently was the 11th and 12th grade Chemistry teacher for Weston Preparatory Academy in Detroit, MI.   Ms. Linville worked at Weston Academy for 2 years, where she taught 10th grade Earth Science, 12th grade Anatomy and Physiology, 11th grade Chemistry, and 12th grade Physics.

 Ms. Linville holds a Bachelor of Science degree in secondary science education from Wayne State University. She is certified DX to teach General Science for grades 6-12, as well as DC to teach Chemistry for grades 9-12.  She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts Degree in Education from Central Michigan University.  In April 2002, she completed the Praxis II certificate for Ohio and was certified to teach all areas of Science for 7-12th grade as well as Chemistry for 9-12th grade.  Previously, she was an 8th grade Science teacher for 4 and one half years at Princeton Community Middle School in Cincinnati, Ohio.

 A Michigan native, Ms. Linville moved to Cincinnati, OH, via a corporate transfer in December 2001. In Ohio, Ms. Linville participated in writing the science curriculum for Princeton Community Middle School and worked on many school committees.  In December 2005, she was transferred back to Michigan and currently resides in Troy.

 Ms. Linville is a member of the National Science Teachers Association and the Michigan Science Teachers Association.  Ms. Linville currently holds certificates to teach in both Michigan and Ohio.  She has participated in many workshops in both Atlanta, GA, and Detroit, MI.  Most notable, she participated in a year long workshop from Miami University of Ohio in Chemistry Education.  

 After obtaining her Master of Arts Degree in Education from Central Michigan University, Ms. Linville plans to become nationally certified in Science Education. She would like to continue to teach Chemistry and to one day participate in writing the science curriculum for the state of Michigan.
