Enrollment Process
Step 1 Entrance Examination
A student must take the Detroit Archdiocesan high school entrance/placement exam in November of the year before starting school.
Step 2 Documents
The following documents must be submitted to the school:

- Elementary School Student Profile Form with copies of 7th and 8th grade report cards
- Letter of recommendation from pastor

Step 3 Interview for Some Applicants
After being notified to make an appointment, register for an interview with the Headmaster of Austin Catholic Academy or his delegate. The student must be accompanied by at least one parent (preferably both) to the interview, which lasts 30-45 minutes.
Step 4 Acceptance
On the basis of all the data provided, the school will mail a notice to the student’s family whether the student is accepted for enrollment, sometime after the January date specified each year by the Archdiocese.
Applicants from the four founding parishes of Austin Catholic Academy (St. Isidore, St. John Vianney, St. Lawrence and St. Therese of Lisieux) will be given priority place if more students apply and are acceptable than the school can accommodate.
Students who are accepted must attend summer orientation workshops with their parents in preparation for the beginning of the school year. During these workshops students will be registered for classes for the fall semester. Students will lease textbooks and laptop computers. Information will be provided at the beginning of the summer for the purchase of school uniforms.
