Catholic Schools Week


Catholic Schools Week 2017 is January 29th through February 4th.

Points will be accumulated for House Competitions. If students choose not to participate in Spirit Dress and donate items, they are required to be in Regular Dress.

All Week: Random Acts of Kindness Club is running our annual “Replenish the Pantries Food Drive” during CSW. This is a “House” competition. The House with the most items will win a free jeans day!

Items needed:
Boxed or canned food of any kind and personal hygiene products: Cereal, pasta noodles, rice, flour, pancake mix, soup, jars of pasta sauce, peanut butter, jelly, any vegetable in a can, pop-tarts, fruit snacks, syrup, cake mix, pudding/jello mix, canned tuna or chicken, toilet paper, napkins, deodorant, shampoo, soap, body wash….

Monday, January 30 “Celebrating Your Community”
WHITE OUT DAY – Wear white shirt or white pants with a donation to MCREST of new socks, t-shirts, underwear, or long johns. Highest house participation of white wins.

Open Gym – 7-9 pm. Family, friends, staff – come join in friendly games & activities.

Tuesday, January 31 “Celebrating Your Students”
TOO COLORFUL TUESDAY – Wear your house color (with jeans) with a donation of canned food or dry goods to our pantry. Highest house color participation wins.
St. Alypius – WEAR BLUE
St. Monica – WEAR GREEN
St. Possidius – WEAR PURPLE
St. Rita – WEAR RED
St. Thomas – WEAR PINK

Boy’s Basketball – Home – 6 pm at Endeavor MS
Girl’s Basketball – Away – 6 pm at Cristo Rey
Bowling Team – Away – 3:30 pm at Airway Lanes, Waterford, MI

Wednesday, February 1 “Celebrating the Nation”
INTERNATIONAL DRESS DAY – Dress up to celebrate your heritage and donate $1 to the Augustinian mission in Peru. Highest house participation for heritage dress wins. Potluck Lunch – Please bring food of your country to share for our lunch.

Thursday, February 2 “Celebrating Vocations”
HAT DAY – COINS & CASH FOR CLERGY – Wear your favorite hat all day with relaxed dress. Coins and cash will be collected all day with a donation made to the Religious Retirement Fund. Coins count as positive points, paper money counts as negative points. Highest house point total (not money total) wins.

Friday, February 3 “Celebrating Faculty, Staff, and Volunteers”
AUSTIN SPIRIT DAY – Austin Spirit attire – jeans permitted. Highest house spirit dress participation wins.

Alumni invited to mass. NHS Induction after mass.
3rd Annual Staff Chili Cook-off at lunch. Menu & prices posted.

Girl’s Basketball – Home – 6 pm at L’Anse Creuse MS East
Boy’s Basketball – Away – 6 pm at Everest Collegiate

Saturday, February 4
Lock-In from 8 pm – 8 am. Cost – $10. If you are spending the night you must be in by 10 pm. More details coming.

Double Elimination with Championship at the Lock-In. Team forms available.
